May 30, 2001,
Wistron Corporation
was incorporated.
On February
28, 2002 Wistron
Corporation
became a separate
legal entity
from Acer Inc.
Until the separation
from Acer, Wistron
operations were
known as the
Design, Manufacturing
and Service
(DMS) arm of
Acer Inc. Acer
Inc ownership
in Wistron Corporation
reduced to less
than 50% in
November 2002.
