(TAIPEI, TAIWAN) 12 August 2024– Wistron Corp. today held a meeting of the Board of Directors. Following the meeting, the company announced the financial results for the first half of 2024.
The total revenue for the first half of 2024 was NT$479,532 million. Operating income was NT$15,712 million, profit before tax (PBT) was NT$17,133 million, and profit after tax (PAT) was NT$7,936 million, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$2.79. For the second quarter of fiscal year 2024, revenue was NT$240,207 million, operating income was NT$8,652 million, PBT was NT$9,125 million, and PAT was NT$4,412 million, with EPS of NT$1.55.
In addition to the financial results, the company has made the following announcements.
1. Wistron plans to invest up to an additional NT$2.13 billion in building improvements and the acquisition of machinery and equipment at the Taiwan Hukou plant to meet the increasing customer demand.
2. SMS Infocomm Corporation (WTX), the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, plans to acquire land and facilities in Texas, USA for up to USD 72 million to support the future development of the company’s after-sales service business. To finance this acquisition, Wistron plans to increase WTX’s capital by an equivalent amount.
3. Wistron InfoComm Mexico S.A. de C.V., the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, plans to construct a new facility with a budget not exceeding USD 81.112 million.
4. ICT Service Management Solutions (India) Private Limited, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, plans to construct a new facility with a budget of up to USD 40.438 million.
